Sorry I haven't been able to blog for a while. I'm busy lately and will be even more in the next weeks to come since it's almost time for finals. Yes, it's that time of year again. I can't believe my second year is almost done. Three more to go after this!
Although I've been reading these past few weeks, I don't have time to review them. When the rush of studying slows down, I'll continue posting book reviews.
Since I have a full week ahead of me, I'm going to do the "In My Mailbox" post right now. I bought lots of books this week. For those of you following me on Twitter, you may already know that I've won a 100$ gift card for the university's bookstore!!!! I was in heaven!!! And, I should point out that the bookstore had a "buy one book, get the second one 50% off" deal!! Books addict out there, you can probably imagine how I was feeling! lol
I bought six books and I still have like 23$ or something left. I'll have to go again before the deal ends.
Since it's a French bookstore, all of my books are in French but four of them are translated from English.
Some of the book covers are not the same. So, here it goes:

Title : Violets Are Blue (in French: Noires sont les violettes)
Author : James Patterson
From Amazon : D.C. Detective Alex Cross has seen a lot of crime scenes. But even he is appalled by the gruesome murders of two joggers in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park - killings that look more like the work of savage beasts than humans. Local police are horrified and even the FBI is baffled. Then, as Cross is called in to take on the case, the carnage takes off, leaving a trail of bodies across America and sweeping him to Savannah, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Los Angeles . . as his nemesis, the merciless criminal known as the Mastermind, stalks him, taunts him, and once again, threatens everything he holds dear...

Title : Four Blind Mice (in French : Quatre souris vertes)
Author : James Patterson
From Goodreads: In this latest thriller from perennial bestselling author James Patterson, Washington cop Alex Cross gets involved in his partner's effort to save the life of an old Army buddy who's facing execution for a horrendous and inexplicable murder spree in North Carolina. The Army's evidence against Sergeant Ellis Cooper, a decorated Vietnam vet, is overwhelming, which isn't surprising since it's all been planted by a quartet of killers whose reason for framing the erstwhile hero isn't revealed until long after they are. The big secret is who set the murderers loose, and in true cliffhanger fashion, Patterson keeps it under wraps until the very end. Meanwhile, his usual blend of action, violence, fast pacing and uninspired-though-serviceable prose prevail, and will probably do so all the way to the top of the bestseller lists. --Jane Adams

Title : Twilight (Mort imminente)
Author : Peter James
From Goodreads : Sally Donaldson is twenty-three years old and six months pregnant when her life suddenly ends. Her devastated husband, Kevin, is willing to grasp at any straw; when sounds are reported coming from the grave, he demands an exhumation. Reporter Kate Hemingway sneaks into the suburban graveyard to see the coffin opened. An American living in England, she is trying to get over a painful love affair - and to break her way out of traffic death and human interest stories. What Kate sees is so horrific that she can't - and won't - forget it. Fighting off pressure from the medical establishment, she plunges into the middle of a sinister and macabre cover-up. At its center is a respected anesthetist with a dangerous and secret obsession with life after death.

Title : Dreamer (Rêves mortels)
Author : Peter James
From Amazon : The last time the dream came, Sam was seven years old; and that was the night her parents were to die. Twenty-five years later, Sam's nightmares are starting to come true once more. Now a successful TV commercials producer, juggling her roles of career woman, wife and mother, she attempts to shut them out. But soon Sam is faced with the reality of dreams in which her life and that of her family are threatened. In desperation, she consults the experts: a psychiatrist; a clairvoyant ...but to no avail. Sam is being inexorably drawn into a vortex of terror from which there is no escape...

Title : A Good Death (Une belle mort)
Author: Gil Courtemanche
From Amazon : On Christmas Eve, a family has gathered for the obligatory dinner. The father, only yesterday an imposing figure who terrorized his children, has suddenly fallen prey to Parkinson’s and finds himself trapped inside a disintegrating body. André, the eldest child, is approaching sixty. He has never loved his father, yet can’t help but be moved as he witnesses his decline. How should we behave towards a parent to whom all pleasures are forbidden? Should we struggle to prolong his life, or help him to end it? Around the dinner table, opinions are divided. Once more, Gil Courtemanche takes us on a deeply moving voyage into the essence of our humanity.
So there it is!
